Founder, CEO and Editor-in-chief of Gal-dem, Liv Little, is only 23, and is already pioneering huge cultural change. Little founded 'Gal-dem', an online and print publication committed to sharing perspectives from women and non-binary people of colour. Little started the publication in her final year of University as a response to her feelings of isolation and loneliness as she was often the only person of colour in a room. Gal-dem has come a long way since Little's loose concept in 2015, and is now a 9 person media company in Bethnal Green. Countless women across the UK benefit from Gal-dem and the support it provides for women of colour. Little's resilience and dedication to providing a platform for women of colour to share their stories and gain support from one another, is something that is truly inspirational and admirable. These small steps that young women are making in the world today produce a butterfly effect that impact so many other young women of colour, and educate those In a position of privilege. And for this reason, Liv Little is my woman of the week.
