Let's start educating ourselves, please!
It's time we all started educating ourselves on the things that really matter.
Gen Z's and Millennial's have got it going on. I've really had enough of baby boomers and those 'inbetweeners' constantly criticising young people for their laziness and lack of resilience. I for one, am extremely proud of my generation. The change that young people have ignited in the world today is incredible. Through using social media platforms we have found our voice and we are not afraid to use it. We have radically improved attitudes towards; race, sex, religion, disabilities, body image, sexual orientation.. the list goes on! Our constant education on these matters reduces the stigma around the Western world every single day. The world as we know it now is an extremely different place than it was even 10 years ago, and we have young people to thank for this. However, we may have won the battle, but we haven't won the war. Ignorance and hatefulness are still prominent throughout the UK, and it is our job to continue to raise awareness to these issues, and correct people when they are wrong. A lot of my education comes from listening to podcasts and reading online magazines. So I have compiled a list below of some of my favourite sources. Please try and read a few articles, or just listen to a few podcasts if you can, as it is so important that we continue to learn and improve the way we perceive and treat others.
Polyester have a very special episode of their podcast with our very own Rose McGowan (featured in the Let's Reset book), so give it a listen here:
