Ellie Lace interviews Jami Schlueter

I agree with Michelle Obama on most things. But, particularly when it comes to young people.
‘I want our young people to know that they matter. That they belong. So, don’t be afraid. Do you hear me? Young people, don’t be afraid. Be focussed. Be determined. Be hopeful.’
It’s so true and yesterday’s verdict in the #georgefloydtrial is a great reminder of the power of having a voice and using it. We’re lucky to have a fantastic Next Generation Editor with a voice and recently, Ellie Lace interviewed Jami Schlueter. An athlete, leader in waiting and a role model for any young person who cares about #identity#diversity and #tolerance; issues very much to the fore this week.
Their chat covers all of those topics and more and you can watch it on our platform (see link below) You’ll get lots from it. It’s uplifting because watching it you realise that youth really isn’t wasted on the young. In fact, quite the opposite. It’s through people like Ellie and Jami that I’m reminded that this generation of young people are the most tolerant, most informed and most diverse in human history. A fact we should celebrate this week especially.
