Great Britain after the storm

My #bankholidayweekend reading time afforded me the chance to read my book of the year so far. ‘Greater Britain After The Storm’ by Penny Mordaunt and Chris Lewis. It's a must-read for anyone interested in the many reasons why we should all be optimistic about our future on the world stage.

Reading the book reminded me of my journey at Lets Reset in trying to build the broadest coalition possible for why wellbeing in the workplace matters so much. It sometimes feels like I'm banging my head against a brick wall, but early on in this book was a great reminder of why I, and everyone like me, have to keep going. The book reminds us that the American anthropologist Margaret Mead once said, 'Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.'

That's never been more true than with the battle to put people before profit and wellbeing at the top of every corporate agenda. So, to everyone out there who commit themselves to this cause and are trying to change the way business treats people, keep going. We can change the way things are, and we will. We just need to keep going.

What do you believe will make Great Britain greater after #Covid19 ?
