Dr Ravi talks about the impact of Covid-19 on his treatment of patients and the changes in his practice due to the epidemic. He shares how candour plays an important part in telling someone that they have Cancer, and gives us an insight into the impact of AI in the future of patient treatment.

Dr Ravi has treated Suki as her skin specialist,  for the past 6 years during her treatment of Cancer melanoma.   He shares in this candid interview, his focus during Covid-19 and the impact it has had on his patients and new practices that have been developed.  After two decades Dr Ravi reveals how he is now resetting his work life to start two new projects.  One with private investors and the NHS to look at innovative ways of treatment for patients in the future using Artificial Intelligence and the other as the Clinical Director of Dermatology of the first new hospital in London for over 30 years. 

Dr Ravi Ratnavel, MA(oxon), MBBS(Lond), DM(oxon), FRCP(UK) specialises in general dermatology including, dermatological surgery, inflammatory skin disease, paediatric dermatology, adult and paediatric skin cancer. His special interests include the medical and surgical treatment of skin cancers and the diagnosis, management of skin eruptions in children and adults.
